UBER EATS - IT’S FOODIE TIME

The FIFA World Cup is the greatest sporting event in history. Every brand wanted a piece of the action IN 2022. Including Uber Eats. Except, they were not official sponsors. Making it tricky to talk about this spectacle and how big of a supporting act Uber Eats play on game day. We had to find a way to talk about the biggest thing everyone should talk about when the game is on…food. 

We found a loophole in the shape of the Uber Eats French Ligue 1. As the main sponsor of that league, we could use the footage from the games. So we did that. And dubbed some of our favourite scenes (using the “BAD LIP READING” trend as inspiration), to make the players talk about food, not their assumed French tactics and complaints to the ref.

We then aired these dubbed films during prime World Cup games and in a way prove that everyone’s thinking about food, when they watch the footy.
